Surrounded by trees, our campsite sits just outside the historic market town of Dorchester, with easy access to the coast.

There’s plenty to see and do in the surrounding area, such as animal centres and museums to explore, some with a nod to Dorset’s Jurassic Coast.

With the South West Coastal Path only seven miles away, you can travel this famous coastline to your heart’s content. Visit nearby Weymouth and Poole for a seaside adventure.

    The nearest National Cycle Network Route is Route 2 - Christchurch to Lyme Regis.

    Our campsite offers easy access to lots of stunning clifftop walks, being only seven miles from the coast.

    Try the Ridge, Coast and Valley walk in East Chaldon, a long ridge walk with spectacular views of the chalk cliffs; or follow the route from Lulworth Cove to Durdle Door.

  • Things to try Things to try

    Have a go at archery, crossbows and axe throwing in a private section of rustic woodland in Tolpuddle. All experience levels are welcome – you can even have a go at Archery Combat Tag; think paintball with a bow and arrow!

    Zoom around the 815m track at Clay Pigeon Raceway. Just 30 minutes from our site, the raceway regularly hosts British and National Championship race meetings, but is open to the public for go karting during the week.

    Try your hand at coasteering, kayak tours, monster biking trails and much more with Jurassic Coast Activities.

    Visit the Frampton Arms for a traditional country pub with open fires and comforting food, just half a mile from our site.

    The Cow & Apple in Dorchester offer a huge cider menu and gourmet burgers, at reasonable prices – why not try the Sloppy Cow burger or the Piggy Back?

    For award winning afternoon tea and homemade cakes, visit the Moreton Tea Rooms in the old School House on the River Frome.
