Step into the great outdoors to enjoy crisp, fresh winter walks

The colder months can be ideal for walking through enchanting woodlands and witnessing explosions of colour. All of our winter glamping campsites are surrounded by beautiful nature and will bring you closer to breathtaking natural surroundings. From the 63 acres of National Trust woodland at our Coniston Park Coppice campsite, to the peaceful Cotswold countryside known for its untouched charm at our Moreton-in-Marsh campsite, there will be plenty of opportunity for you to wrap up, get active and embrace the outdoors. If you stay at Coniston Park Coppice, you are in an ideal location to explore the lakes, high mountain passes and stunning landscapes of the Lake District. Complete high adventure, dramatic winter walks or, from February, privately tour key Beatrix Potter locations for a great family day out.

Another great option for a winter glamping trip is our Alderstead Heath campsite which is ideally located near valley woodlands and the West Sussex Downs, an area known for its outstanding natural beauty. Discover the historic villages or pleasant market towns scattered all around the area. After your brisk walk, why not indulge in a warm, hearty meal at one of the many welcoming, local pubs. Just 35 minutes drive from this site, you can also visit the renowned Polesden Lacey's winter garden, one of the first gardens of its kind. Look out for the mesmerising red buds and snowdrops that bloom across the garden all through the late winter.

"I was impressed with every part of this camp site and my stay here! The pod was lovely, a very accommodating space and there’s an excellent little heater that warms the place up to a good room temp." - Mike Braithwaite, Coniston Park Coppice

"We had such a nice time! It's in an easily accessible, but peaceful location. The staff kindly put the heater on in the pod prior to us arriving so it was set for a cosy evening. It's a great location to get out and explore on foot. We went for a long walk and stopped for a lovely pub lunch."-Megan S, Alderstead Heath
