1. Round and round Romney Marsh
The Romney Marsh Countryside Project is just a 15-minute drive from Daleacres Club Site. There is also a cycle path that takes you from the site down to the coast. At Romney Marsh you'll find cycle hire, guided rides and self-guided routes. You can explore quiet lanes and family tracks, such as the historic ‘Trail of Dr Syn’ where you might spot some marsh wildlife and learn about the local marsh legends.
2. Port Lympne Safari
Come face to face with a curious giraffe, admire the powerful rhinos and see if you can spot the lions sprawling in their paddock. Port Lympne gives you a fantastic safari experience which takes you around the park and past the enclosures on special trucks.
The park also offers experiences for adults and children such as zorbing, fishing, photography workshops, bush craft and horse riding so you can plan your day with lots to see and do.

3. Boating on the canal
Your journey on the water begins in Hythe where The Royal Military Canal (once used as a defence in the Napoleonic Wars), is now an oasis of peace and quiet for bird life and flora.
Approximately 7 miles of these tranquil waters can be explored in an electric boat – the perfect way to take in the scenery. You might even spot a West Hythe Heron.

4. Events at RSPB Dungeness
Bring your binoculars and head out to the Dungeness RSPB reserve. As the seasons change, you may get to see the migrant birds resting and feeding amongst the reed beds before they head off on their long journeys out to sea and across the continent.
RSPB run dedicated walks and events though the year, such as the spring sunrise walks which are followed by a cooked breakfast.

5. All the arts at Folkestone Quarterhouse
This venue is a hub of creativity and is well worth a visit. The Quarterhouse offers a range of entertainment for all ages including, comedy, film screenings, plays, community group activities, live music, theatre, talks and walks.
