1. Synchronise your watches at The Royal Observatory
The Royal Observatory in Greenwich is a must see. Explore your place in the universe in the great Onion Dome (originally made from papier mâché!) and take a look through the colossal telescope that took 8 years to build. Learn all about time and space, kickback in the Planetarium, stand astride the Prime Meridian or enrol yourself on an Astronomy Course. You will find plenty to do during your London visit that the whole family can enjoy.
2. Cycle along the riverside
Get on your bike and start peddling! Follow the tracks and pathways that criss-cross the area including the route that stretches along the Thames, past landmarks such as the Docklands, Tower Bridge and The London Eye.
Alternatively there are lots of gorgeous green parks to explore on more circular routes to the south of Greenwich, where you can stop off for a picnic or maybe a game of rounders. You could also get involved with local group cycling, indoor cycling and kids cycling incentives - for more information take a look at the online routes and cycle maps.
3. Sailing on London's Docklands
Have some fun out on the open water, refining your sailing skills at Docklands Sailing and Watersports Centre. Whether you are a complete beginner or fancy a new challenge, the centre offers adult and child open lessons, day courses and private tuition on all thing sailing, including kayaking, windsurfing and stand up paddle boarding.
They say the best time to go is in the evening where you can enjoy the water by twilight.
4. Go ‘Ballistic Paintballing’
If it’s frenzied fun you’re looking for, here’s the perfect day out for you. Load up and get ready for battle as paintballing and laser combat are just a short drive from our Abbey Wood site. Are you ready to unleash your inner warrior?

5. Ride the slide
A short distance away from the Abbey Wood site is ‘The Slide’ at ArcelorMittal Orbit which is the longest and tallest tunnel slide in the world. In the 40 second ride, you’ll circle around the structure 12 times, weaving your way through its loops and curves.
