Winchester Morn Hill site is set in the beautiful Hampshire countryside, just near Winchester. Full of ancient buildings to explore, the Cathedral city is full of charm and fascinating history.

The site is ideally situated within an hour of Stonehenge, The New Forest, Chichester, Windsor and Oxford too, so there’s so much to discover in the area.

Activities & experiences nearby

Go for a cycle around Itchen Valley, Oxdrove Way and Wayfarers Way and take in the surrounding countryside. Bespoke Biking can be found in the lower parking level of the Brooks Centre in Winchester where you can hire various types of bikes.

The nearest National Cycle Network route to the site is Route 23 which runs from Reading to Southampton and covers 80 miles. Join the route just outside the site towards Southampton.

The South Downs Way is less than three miles from the site and is a lovely walking route. The Three Castles Path is also nearby, as is Itchen Way – both great for a countryside stroll.

You can take a guided walking tour around Winchester and find out all about the history of the first capital of England.

Piecaramba! in Winchester is a quirky restaurant serving a great pie and mash. See if you can defeat their Piescraper challenge – a three-pie high tower served with mash and mushy peas!

Sink your teeth in to the chocolate treats at Chococo Chocolate House on Winchester High Street, washed down with a gourmet hot chocolate.

Explore Winchester Science Centre and Planetarium - less than a mile from our campsite site, it’s a great day out for the whole family. Find out lots of fun facts and join in at the hands-on exhibition.

The Theatre Royal in Winchester has some fantastic shows to go and see, and is only three miles from our site. Check their website to check what’s on whilst you’re there.
