Our picturesque Clumber Park campsite is surrounded by woodland, set within 4,000 acres of lush parkland, perfect for walking and cycling. Clumber Park is part of what was once Sherwood Forest, and there are plenty of links to Robin Hood to discover here. Ideal for families, couples and lone rangers, this little campsite is a nature lover's dream.
*FREE Wi-Fi service is available in your accommodation for basic browsing and reading emails. For a faster service, you have the option to upgrade to a premium package for a fee of £5 a day or £15 a week. The free service is available on unlimited devices, the premium package is limited to one device at any one time.
There are plenty of places to walk and cycle nearby, including Clumber Park itself which has signposted wide, flat paths, wildlife and great views. Robin Hood Way is also nearby, offering a 105 mile route across Nottinghamshire. The nearest National Cycle Route to Clumber Park is number 6 which links Derby to York.
Marvel at the enlightening exhibitions from leading contemporary artists at The Harley Galley or visit the neighbouring Portland Collection Museum which displays the historic art collection of the Dukes of Portland and their families.
Explore the Creswell Crags, a spectacular limestone gorge that straddles the border between Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. There are nine caves that you can explore for yourself, all harbouring secrets from our Prehistoric past. Venture on a day trip to Nottingham and meet Robin Hood on a fun walking tour exploration of the city and the legend.
If you'd prefer to stay close to the campsite, check out The Garden Tea House and Clumber Park Restaurant at Clumber Park National Trust site. You’ve got plenty of choice if you head to Worksop, with The Old School Tearooms offering decadent Afternoon Tea or try The Olive Grove Bistro, a Mediterranean gem with a plentiful menu.
If you're visiting in September, the Clumber Park food festival is held in the heart of the forest, and offers a great opportunity to experience culinary delights and sample local beverages.
Follow in the footsteps of the legendary archer Robin Hood and hone your archery skills with National Archery, suitable for all abilities.
Encounter the exotic on a family day out at the Tropical Butterfly House, Wildlife and Falconry Centre, where you can meet meerkats, lemurs, birds of prey, snakes, otters and much more. You can also explore the indoor rainforest, which is home to stunning species of butterflies, bats, crocodiles and creepy-crawlies!
In the warmer months, The Canch is a great place to take the children. Considered one of the best parks in the UK, it is just under 20 minutes’ drive from the campsite, and is home to an outdoor gym area, play equipment, a multi-use games area and a water fountain splash park.
