Set in a beautiful country park, our campsite is perfect for a relaxing family holiday. The park offers plenty of walking and cycling routes nearby, plus a lake for fishing and water sports.

The surrounding park offers three lakes with numerous activities, children’s play areas and miles of woodland to explore.

Just three miles away is the busy city centre of Peterborough with plenty to see and do, including restaurants, shopping and entertainment.

    Perfectly placed on the edge of Nene Park, our campsite is ideal for gentle, traffic-free rides through the parkland. Take the seven mile route around the park, which is suitable for children with no traffic or steep hills.

     

    The closest National Cycle Network route is Route 63 which runs straight past the site.

  • Walking Walking

    Our campsite offers lots of beautiful scenic walks around Nene Park. Take a stroll through the parkland or meander along the banks of the River Nene, with plenty of spots to stop for a picnic.

  • Things to try Things to try

    Try all sorts of outdoor activities at the beautiful, unspoilt Ferry Meadows Country Park. You can walk, cycle, play, horse ride, ride a train, go fishing, exercise the dog, explore endless meadows, lakes and woodlands, all within less than 3 miles of Peterborough city centre. It’s also home to Nene Outdoors, a watersports and outdoor activity venture where you can try your hand at paddleboarding, sailing or take out a pedalo.

     

    Kick start your adrenaline at Rally Karting Centre - just a 30 minute drive away. Try everything from quad bikes, rally karts and four-wheel drive.

    Situated in the heart of Peterborough city centre, The Pizza Parlour & Music Café serves up traditionally cooked Italian pasta and wood-fired oven pizzas, whilst you’re entertained by feel-good music from the 60s. Try their infamous Bada-Bing 20” pizza, made for sharing!

     

    Stop in at the Lakeside Kitchen & Bar for light refreshment, with the view overlooking Overton Lake in Nene Park. Just over a mile from the campsite is The Gordon Arms serving good pub grub and a variety of beers and wines.

    If you fancy a bit of culture, pay the Peterborough Museum and Art Gallery a visit. Just a four minute walk from Queensgate Shopping centre, this Georgian mansion has served as a museum for over 70 years. It has eight permanent galleries displaying inspirational historical and cultural objects.

     

    Peterborough Lido is open between May and September and is perfect for those warm summer days. The swimming complex offers three outdoor heated swimming pools, paddling pools for children and an onsite café for that much needed refreshment. There is a bus service to the lido direct from the site.

     

    The Nene Valley Railway is a great day out with the kids. Enjoy an exciting train ride and enjoy free activities like the children’s play area and the river-side picnic spot. Jump off the train at other stations and discover what they have to offer too.
