  • Cycling Cycling

    The Norfolk Coast Partnership suggests off-road routes and quiet lanes that take you through nearby farmsteads and woodland, such as Felbrigg Park and Roman Camp. There are no official routes directly from site as we’re next to busy, narrow roads.

    Hire a bike from Electrifying Bikes to make exploring the area effortless.

  • Walking Walking

    With rolling countryside, breathtaking coastlines, forest, parks and gardens, north Norfolk is the perfect place for walking routes all year round.

    Enjoy a coastal walk along Cromer’s sandy beaches, towards the pier. Continue past the pier to Cromer Lighthouse, where you can join the five mile circular walk – Look out for the 236 steps from the beach to the cliff top.

  • Things to try Things to try

    Enjoy a live show from Cromer Pier Theatre, set in a beautiful Victorian building, you can see anything from live music to comedy. Just past the theatre is the RNLI Lifeboat station, which welcomes visitors to learn more about the station, the crew and the work they do.

     

    Take to the water on Cromer Beach, right next to the pier and try out surfing or paddle boarding with Glide Surf School, catering for total novices to the more experienced.

     

    If you want to venture further out, Norwich city is less than an hour’s drive away from the campsite and is full of quirky shops, restaurants and theatres to visit. If you don’t want to drive, there’s a bus stop just outside.

    The Wanderer is our on-site restaurant offering a wide range of freshly cooked meals for the whole family.

     

    If you’re heading out, a seaside holiday is not complete without some classic fish and chips and No1 Cromer is the place to go. You’ll find their restaurant overlooking the pier in Cromer.

     

    Indulge in Cromer’s premier clifftop bistro, Bolton’s Bistro, that specialises in fresh fish dishes including the world renowned Cromer crab and locally caught lobster.

    Keep your mini merpeople happy and spend a day at the sandy East Runton beach, a firm favourite with wave chasers.

     

    Whatever the weather, there’s always dinosaurs to be discovered! Set in 85 acres of woodland Roarr Dinosaur Adventure, just 20 miles from the campsite, is the perfect playground for intrepid explorers. Go in search of the giant Brachiosaurus and hunt out the raptors, there’s adventure around every corner.

     

    Head along the coast to Morston Quay and take a guided boat tour with Temples Seal trips out to Blakeney Point where you can watch and photograph common and grey seals in their natural habitat.

     

    Go on a magical adventure to BeWILDerwood, near Norwich for a fun-filled family day out in the forest that’s filled with treehouses, zip wires, jungle bridges, slippery slopes, crocklebogs, twiggles, boat trips, storytelling marsh walks and some really yummy food.
